First Time Boarding?

TO RESERVE OVERNIGHT BOARDING:

Just three things are needed to reserve your dog's stay:

1st: 

Email (castledogs9@gmail.com) your dog's vaccination records to The Castle. 

We require proof of current Rabies, DHPP (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, & parvovirus), and Bordetella (kennel cough).

**Bordetella is required every six months to a year dependent upon the method of your vet's administration and their recommendation.

2nd: 

Register your dog by completing an online profile in Gingr.  You will be texted or emailed a link to register after vaccinations are verified.

3rd: Make one $50 deposit for one dog/one family of dogs--it goes toward your balance at pick up.  Once steps one and two are complete, you will be emailed or texted a link to pay the deposit.  Space is not guaranteed without a deposit.  Summertime and holidays fill fast. Don't procrastinate.

  Our customers appreciate how thorough we are--when you register in Gingr, you will be asked to consent to our Castle Customs-- we aim to share all specifics associated with the level of five-star care we will provide for your pet, and you'll also find that we have detailed our customs, routines, policies, and procedures for your peace of mind.

OVERNIGHT BOARDING DEPOSIT & REFUND POLICY: 

One night boarders are not required to pay a deposit, but a $22 cleaning fee is added to the price of the kennel or suite you select, and  space cannot be guaranteed during major holidays, summertime, or long public school breaks. 

Since we include our boarding dogs in our daycare activities, one night boarders must be picked up within a 24 hour time frame, or a fee for dog daycare for the next day will be applied.

Boarding Cancellation Policy: 

We are not out to keep your money. We kindly ask you not to use us as a backup plan while you wait to see if your neighbor will keep your dog.  

If your boarding reservation is NOT during a high demand time such as a holiday week, any busy summer dates, or long public school breaks, and the reservation is cancelled 24 hours before your boarding start date, you may keep your entire deposit on file with us as in store credit to be used towards any of our services.  In store credit must be used within three months of the date you cancelled your boarding reservation.  You will not receive any change back if you choose a service under $53.

We apologize, but cancellations for reservations during high-demand times  must be done 30 days before the 1st scheduled boarding day to receive in-store credit for next time.  Otherwise, the deposit is non-refundable.

We offer discounts for extended stays of 10 nights or more; we may require most or all of the total cost of boarding up front.

VACATION PACKING LIST

So, your dog is going on a royal vacation… to The Castle, you say? 

Gotta get to packing.

1. Food measured and secured in Ziploc baggies--labeled with your dog's name, date, and time of day to feed your dog. Do this for each day and each feeding time, please.  This helps us to know if your dog is not eating, and ensures they do not miss a meal.

. We are also limited on storage space, so bags of dogfood or containers are not allowed unless your dog is staying 10 days or more.  

*For extended stays, we will take dog-food bags or containers of dog food.

2. Medications if applicable and food items needed to entice your dog to take their meds (Pill Pockets or whatever method you use at home).

3.  Personal beds are not permitted--we try to prevent most outside germs coming into The Castle. 

We do allow clean blankets or t-shirts that smell like home, comfort toys or chew toys, and/or treats (all to be kept in your dog’s kennel or with their personal belongings). We do inventory with pet parents at check-in and check-out. We are not responsible for lost items once you've made it home.

**Please do not pack measuring cups/scoopers or bowls (unless your dog won’t eat without his/her special bowl, or unless your dog uses a slow-feeder). Your bowls and scoopers will end up lost in the dishwasher.

ALL-INCLUSIVE for ALL BOARDING GUESTS

 The Castle will provide, for no extra charge:

1. Updates on your dog-child's stay on Facebook and updates on text by request--we provide pictures, and/or videos, and if you text us and request it, we will give you more details about your dog's stay..

BPA free bowls for water and food

3. Castle dog-food if your dog is not prone to upset stomach (we recommend keeping your dog on their regular diet to avoid diarrhea and vomiting); 

4. Special time to separate dog families who need to be separated during feeding times

5. Administration of any of your dog’s medication (insulin shots as well)

6. Toys, linens, bedding, cots, and pillows if your dog is NOT a chewer

7. Homemade organic Castle Treats or Milkbones (if you consent) at naptime and bedtime and random times in need of reward

8. Small amounts of canned food, coconut oil, or chicken broth to mix with your dog’s food if he/she is not eating their dry food (if you consent)

9.  Eat with the owner and staff (for social eaters) or have a picnic in the Courtyard for reluctant eaters

10. Complimentary (not required to board) socialization with other Castle dogs--dependent upon your dog's temperament and preferences--we do not force dogs into groups if they are uncomfortable 

11. Boarding dogs enjoy our daycare games and planned Enrichment Lessons with daycare dogs on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays; agility course available every day

12.. Custom schedule with loving staff based on your dog’s interests, needs/special needs for naps and off-leash play, leashed walks, and Castle Excursions (for safety reasons, Castle dogs do not wear collars--we store your dog's leashes, collars, and harnesses with their personal items

13.  Canine Coaching on basic obedience, manners, and patience

14. One-on-one time with lots of love/personal attention and hang-out time with owners (especially in the evenings when the Castle closes)

15. Documented Wellness checks 3-5 times a day and complimentary ear cleaning if needed/if time permits

16. Coat Brushing, hugs, kisses, and belly rubs while playing in the Courtyard

17. Room Service AM and PM and as needed (we clean the floors and provide clean bowls with fresh water, fresh linens if needed)

18.  Laundry Service for personal items as needed and if time permits

This spacious 144 sq. foot room, located in The Great Hall of The Castle, has:

*a ceiling fan, radio and  plenty of natural light with low windows and a view to the Majestic Moat.
